Defending champions FURIA return alongside six other top-20 teams and the TWC closed qualifier winner
TA’ QALI, Malta, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The Thunderpick World Championship 2026 Finals are set for Oct. 14 to 18 at BLAST Studios Malta, where Counter-Strike 2’s top teams will compete for a $1 million USD prize pool. 2025 champions FURIA return to the Finals, with seven of the eight teams ranked inside Global VRS top 20.
Teams competing at TWC 2026, along with their rankings, include:
- Legacy (#3) – Brazil’s top-ranked team, continuing its rise on the international stage
- Falcons (#4) – One of Europe’s most star-studded rosters
- FURIA (#8) – Defending TWC champions and one of Brazil’s top teams
- BETBOOM (#9) – Experienced Russian team with a track record of causing upsets
- 9z (#10) – A top South American team with some of the region’s best talent
- Aurora (#12) – European organization with a core of international stars
- PARIVISION (#17) – Rising European team with tier-one stars and regional talent
- Virtus.pro (#30) – One of CS’s most recognizable organizations, ranked #30 after winning the TWC closed qualifier
Hotspawn returns as a Presenting Partner of the Thunderpick World Championship 2026, supporting coverage and content around the tournament and its competing teams.

The Finals will feature a broadcast lineup of some of Counter-Strike’s most recognizable voices. Chad “SPUNJ” Burchill, Alex “Machine” Richardson, Hugo Byron and Harry “JustHarry” Russell will serve as casters, with Tres “stunna” Saranthus and Sam “Tech Girl” Wright hosting the desk. Analysts Sudhen “Bleh” Wahengbam, Janko “YNk” Paunović, Teodor “Tedd” Borisov and Jason “moses” O’Toole will join the broadcast, alongside sideline reporter Anastasija “Heccu” Tolmačeva and stage host James Banks.
All matches will be broadcast live on Thunderpick’s Twitch, Kick and YouTube.
