Aderant, a leading global provider of legal business management software, today opened Early Access to the Aderant Agent Center, giving clients the first hands-on opportunity to deploy AI agents purpose-built for the operational work that keeps legal business running: financial management, work-to-cash, and beyond. Unveiled at ILTACON 2026, the program marks a defining step in Aderant’s strategy to build an open, extensible AI ecosystem that lets firms automate real operational workflows, not just experiment with generic AI.
Built on the Stridyn platform and powered by MADDI, Agent Center delivers a growing portfolio of purpose-built AI agents. Rather than general-purpose AI tools, Agent Center starts with a firm’s own business context, so every interaction draws on licensed Aderant product data. Agents can monitor, prioritize, recommend, and draft, while users remain the final decision makers throughout every workflow.
“Law firms want the benefits of AI without giving up the control and confidence they’ve built into how they run their business,” said Josiah Chaves, Chief Client Officer at Aderant. “Agent Center is a proof point for what we mean by Innovation Realized. These are purpose-built AI agents, grounded in a firm’s own data, that help teams move faster on the work that matters most, while keeping people in the loop on every decision.”
Purpose-Built AI Agents, Not General-Purpose Prompting
Agent Center’s portfolio is growing to seven purpose-built agents, each designed around a high-value operational workflow. Appeals, Collections, Talent and Time, which has since been added following the announcement of the Aderant Agent Center at Momentum Global 2026, agents are already in an Early Access Program (EAP):
- Appeals Agent — Helps billing teams maximize revenue recovery by identifying and prioritizing high-value appeal opportunities and drafting supporting rationale for review.
- Collections Agent — Helps firms accelerate cash collection by prioritizing accounts, surfacing aging trends and payment risk, and recommending next-best actions and outreach.
- Talent Agent — Brings together fragmented performance evidence across matters, time narratives, feedback, learning, and prior reviews to give managers a complete, evidence-based view of associate performance, enabling faster, more consistent evaluations and better-informed talent decisions.
- Time Agent — Helps timekeepers create clearer, more compliant time entries by improving narratives, flagging billing risk, and recommending codes. By strengthening the time narrative at the point of entry, it helps produce more complete, review-ready entries with a lower probability of downstream deductions.
At ILTACON 2026, Aderant is opening three more agents for early access:
- Compliance Agent — Helps firms interpret and operationalize Outside Counsel Guidelines, comparing requirements across clients and matters and supporting more consistent, automated billing and compliance controls.
- General Ledger (GL) Forecasting Agent — Helps finance leaders anticipate future performance by combining forward-looking general ledger forecasts with recent actuals, confidence ranges, and variance analysis across accounts, offices, and departments.
- Rate Agent — Gives firms a trusted, explainable view of which billing rates apply, why they apply, and how they’ve changed, replacing spreadsheet- and email-driven rate campaigns with a governed workflow for requests, approvals, and supporting evidence.
“Agent Center reflects a shift we’re seeing across the industry, from isolated automation to intelligent systems that coordinate work across the business,” said Lisa Erickson, SVP of Product Management and AI at Aderant. “These agents are purpose-built for legal operations, not general-purpose AI bolted onto a firm’s workflows. They surface the right context at the right moment so people can make faster and better-informed decisions without interrupting their day-to-day business operations.”
One Extensible Aderant Ecosystem
Agent Center is delivered through Aderant’s Stridyn platform, the shared cloud and AI-native foundation that connects the Aderant product line. The Agent Center Early Access Program is open to law firms now, and firms can request an EAP conversation with Aderant’s product team at any time through Aderant.com. Firms attending ILTACON 2026, held August 23–27 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee can also visit Aderant at booth #219 to see a live Agent Center demonstration and discuss EAP fit and requirements in person.
