Essen Health Care’s Atlas IPA Achieves Nation’s Highest Net Savings Rate Among All CMS ACO REACH Participants in 2024
PR Newswire
BRONX, N.Y., Sept. 1, 2026
Atlas IPA, outperforms all 115 ACO REACH organizations nationwide; including every other High Needs Population ACO in reducing cost of care for medically complex, high-acuity Medicare beneficiaries.
BRONX, N.Y., Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Atlas IPA is proud to announce that it achieved the highest Net Savings Rate of any participant in the model’s Performance Year 2024 (PY2024) results. Notably Atals IPA scored the best cost efficiency result among all 115 organizations nationwide, according to newly released CMS data.
Atlas IPA generated a 31.5% in gross savings rate and 25.8% in net savings rate against its CMS benchmark, the top result in the ACO REACH Model and ahead of every other High Needs Population ACO, a track designed specifically for organizations serving Medicare’s most medically complex and highest-cost beneficiaries.
“This result reflects what’s possible when a care model is built specifically around the needs of medically complex patients,” said Dr. Sumir Sahgal, Chief Medical Officer and founder of Essen Health Care. “Our team is focused on keeping high-acuity patients medically managed, at home, and out of unnecessary institutional settings; and CMS’s own data confirms we are delivering that more efficiently than any other ACO REACH participant in the country.”
The ACO REACH Model is a CMS Innovation Center initiative that holds participating ACOs financially accountable for the total cost and quality of care delivered to their aligned Medicare beneficiary population. The High Needs Population track, in which Atlas IPA participates, serves beneficiaries with complex chronic conditions and elevated risk scores. Atlas IPA is continuing to invest in care coordination and clinical infrastructure to build on its cost-efficiency performance in future performance years.
