ROCKVILLE, Md., Sept. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — This week, the American Kidney Fund (AKF) is hosting Kidney Action Week®: Future of Kidney Care, a free, three-day virtual kidney health event for people with kidney disease, caregivers and healthcare professionals, focused on emerging research, treatment advances and innovations shaping the future of kidney care. 

The theme for this expanded edition of Kidney Action Week is “Unpacking the latest in kidney care: from understanding your cause to innovations.” Each day will feature sessions with nephrologists, patient advocates, researchers and transplant specialists, who will discuss different topics related to the current state of kidney care and how to prepare for what’s ahead:
